In the morning, an extensive breakfast buffet awaits you. We pay attention to selected quality - whenever possible organic - and local cycle, when purchasing and selecting our delicacies.

 

Visit our small rural Cafe "Sommerwölkchen" during the summer month from may to late september.

 

The appetite or the desire for a glass of wine or a cold beer can be satisfied in our in-house pub "Heavens Door". 

On our regular dinner evenings you may feast your way through the evening with enjoyment, show and culture.

You can also rent our beautiful rooms in the Klosterhotel Walkenried for your private or business events. Celebrate in the “heavenly ambience” of the “Wolke 7” restaurant, have a big birthday with many friends and relatives in the large ballroom. Your guests will be amazed!

 

Walkenried is the ideal starting point for activities in the entire Harz region. No matter if winter or summer. From here you have access to several premium hiking trails such as the “Green Belt” and the “Karst hiking trail”. Or go on a “stamp hunt” for the Harz hiking pin! A pleasant activity that will lead you to the most beautiful places in the Harz Mountains.

 

Hiking is too strenuous for you? Then get in the saddle! Our hotel's own e-bike rental provides you with everything you need for a relaxing bike tour, uphill and downhill around the southern Harz.

As a bike-friendly accommodation, we provide secure parking spaces for your private bikes. We also have an excellent bicycle workshop where any small defects that may arise during your bike tour are taken over and repaired immediately.
